Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a special outfit of the day, dedicated to National Donate Life Blue & Green Day. National Donate Life Blue & Green Day is a day in which everyone is encouraged to wear blue and green to support and promote awareness of organ, eye, and tissue transplants, and the extreme need for registered donors. Everyone is also encouraged to participate in campaigns, events, and fundraisers to support the cause.
Not only are blue and green the colors of this campaign, they are also great colors for the spring!
A few facts about becoming an organ donor:
- Anyone can be a donor! Donors of all ages, races, and medical histories are welcomed.
- If you are sick or injured and have to go to the hospital, saving your life is the top priority, even if you’re an organ donor. Organ donation is only considered after you are deceased.
- Personal information about an organ donor is only released to the recipient if the family of the donor requests or agrees to it.
