Black and White Crop Top + Black Faux Leather Skirt

Happy Wednesday! I have been loving the fall weather! And to clarify, I mean the sunny, fall weather that we’ve been experiencing lately. I am NOT here for it getting any colder, lol. I’ve been enjoying recapping my summer travel experiences, and still have some more to share with you, but since it’s a new season, I wanted to go ahead and get back into my regularly scheduled fashion posts.

I actually shot this outfit a month ago on a visit to my home city of Raleigh, NC when it was a little warmer. Since fall was approaching, I wanted to wear this as a transition outfit from summer to fall. As you can see, I had to get in one final summer-ish crop top, lol. I love the way this top fits, it’s very flattering since it comes down a little longer on the sides than in the middle. And the black and white stripes gives it a classier feel. I chose this hat, skirt, and booties as my fall pieces (even though you can technically wear them year round).

I am loving the various styles of fall hats that are out and on trend right now. They make any outfit a little chicer. I was excited to be able to wear a hat, because normally my natural hair is too big, or doesn’t look right under them. But, my hair was blow dried straight, and then I used a curling wand to create some waves, so it looked pretty great underneath this hat.

This skirt is one of my favorites. I’ve had it for  a few years, and Forever21 keeps restocking it, so I guess I can consider it a wardrobe staple!

Of course I had to add some of my favorite gold accessories to the classic black and white color scheme.

These booties are a new fave!

And the finishing touch was my berry Sephora lipstick!

    I’m definitely loving those booties! I’ve had to find new everything because I’ve picked up weight…so crop tops are out for the moment!! Lol. However, it’s also time to re-up on my boots. I’ve had most of mine for years and they’re starting to wear, so I’ve gotta bring new ones into the rotation! I might just have to check these out!! Did you get them in store or order online?

      Thanks Mionna! They are a new fav! I bought them in store, but they’re available online also! They run pretty true to size, I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 and they are a 7.5 🙂

    I love that hat and the booties! It’s freezing in NYC I can’t imagine even attempting to wear that right now but it’s a cute outfit altogether!
