Black and Creme Striped Midi + Burgundy Accents

Happy Wednesday! This fall weather is getting tricky! It’s been cold in the mornings, warm during the day, and then cold again at night. Thank God for layers to put on or take off accordingly!

I actually wore this outfit about a month ago on my visit to Raleigh, when the weather was still pretty nice and warm. I had just bought this floppy hat from Nordstrom and couldn’t wait to wear it. The shape and color are perfect for fall!

So. I think I am obsessed with midi dresses! I love them because you can wear them year round, and  to any occasion, with a few minor updates. I especially love casual, cotton midi dresses, because you can dress them up or down. When I got this one over the summer, I knew that it would easily transition to fall because of the stripes and material. The black and creme stripes also went along really well with my burgundy hat and purse.

I added my favorite booties for a casual, yet slightly jazzy blog/brunch look. Booties with chunkier heels are definitely a fall essential! I throw mine on whenever I’m trying to be cute but casual. SN: That bangle was not supposed to be up that high on my forearm, it kept slipping!

Here’s one of those layers I was talking about! I knew it would get cooler that evening so I grabbed it to wrap around my waist in the meantime. If I tried to wear this outfit again now, I would definitely add a leather jacket to stay warm.

I love everything about this look! You should see my closet because all I own are midi dresses. The hat was a really nice addition to the overall look and that color? YES! Love it!!! #BLMGirl

I love midi dresses too! My tummy is getting a bit out of control, but I still wear them anyway!! LOL
I had one like this but I was never able to wear it because I bought it too small. I ended up giving it to my sister and it looks great on her!
I also love that hat! How do you get hats over your natural hair?? I always have trouble with that.

Thanks Mionna! LOL, yes keep wearing them, I’m sure no one notices your tummy issues!
Oh the hat on fits because my hair was blow dried and then I used a curling wand to get those curls. Otherwise, they wouldn’t fit over my natural hair either! The struggle, lol :-/
