Happy Monday! And Happy Holidays! I hope everyone enjoyed their breaks and time with family and friends. Instead of traveling to NC as normal, my parents and sister came to DC, since it was my nephew Carson’s first Christmas. I was elated I didn’t have to drive down! Things didn’t exactly go as planned on Christmas Day, but it was a Merry Christmas nonetheless! It was kind of hard to get up and go to work today, but I made it. ?
It was pretty cold this morning, however for the last few weeks, we’ve experienced pretty mild weather. I was able to wear lighter jackets and skip the scarves, and I was loving it.
I actually took these photos while I was home in NC for Thanksgiving, and the weather was beautiful then as well. I figured I’d pull out this little boho paisley print dress that is short, but long sleeved, making it perfect for the fall. I paired it with my leather jacket and knee high boots, and was ready to go. This is the perfect outfit for when you want to be a little bit more dressed up than usual, but yet comfortable and casual. This dress is also perfect for transitioning into spring, paired with knee-high gladiator sandals instead of boots, and a wide-brimmed hat.
If you were to visit NC during this time of the year, you may get confused about what season it is based on people’s outfits. Some people definitely still dress like it’s summer time, rocking shorts and flip flops. And possibly adding a sweatshirt and/or jacket to make their outfit more weather appropriate. Gotta love it, lol.
