National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month

Hello loves! If you follow me on Facebook and/or Twitter, then you would know that May is National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, a time for teens and adults to focus their attention on healthy relationships, and discuss ways to prevent teen and unplanned pregnancy. I have joined The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy to help share the resources they provide.

Though May is officially National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, it’s so important to have the talk with your teens to help prevent teen and unplanned pregnancy no matter the month, when you feel that the time is right. I know when I get married and start a family, my husband and I will have the talk with our teens, and make sure we incorporate our Christian values in with the talk. Teen pregnancy and birth rates in the United State have declined significantly since the early 90’s, and having these important discussions will help the numbers continue to decline. When teen pregnancy rates go down, opportunities go up!

Watch the below video for tips on how to start the discussion.
