Fall/Winter Style: Plaid Blazer Dress + Turtleneck + Booties

Happy Thursday!!! I can’t believe it’s Thursday, already! While I’m happy this week has flown by, I slightly wish it didn’t, because I’m still playing catch up! For today’s ootd, I’m featuring this cute dress that SheIn gifted me with.

While out shopping last week, I made a new friend. Lastt night she was texting me for fashion advice, and asked me how I was doing. I told her that I was fine, but very busy with work, and blog deadlines.  She asked me how I de-stress, and I thought that was a great question to discuss here on the blog.

Ok, so how do I actually de-stress? Well, I would say there are levels to my stress. If I’m stressed about something like meeting blog deadlines for example, I usually just try to power through, knowing that when I’m done posting, I’ll be able to relax. Laying in bed or on the couch watching TV is the quickest and easiest way I relax and zone out for a bit. Also when I’m dozing off, or no longer can think straight, I know it’s time to take a break, or that it’s time for bed if it’s late at night. For more serious stressful situations, I always take it to God and the Bible. Praying about the situation and asking God to work it out for me always gives me peace. And then reading scriptures always reiterates the fact that God will indeed work it out for my good.

Quick details about this dress. It’s a great quality. It’s somewhat fitted, but a little bit big around the chest/back area (I pinned it in the back as a quick fix for these pics). The next time I wear it, I’m going to wear it with a waist belt, and I think that’ll fix that issue. I’m wearing an XS.

First of all, I’m buying that dress so if you see me in it, just know that I’m biting your style LOL
Watching TV and zoning out for a bit is how I destress. I also clean to destress; it gives me a sense of control.

I try yoga, reading or laughing at a good comedy. Managing stress be challenging somI mix it up ! Girl..you look like a London UK model. Love the outfit and those boots

I talk a bubble bath to destress, clean, and scream one long time. When I was a kid, my sister who is 18 years older than me use to encourage us to take deep breaths when we were around others, but when we were at home she said every once in a while it just feels good to scream as loud as you can. I do it when I am completely alone to break the silence. LOL!

I want to start making prayer and reading my bible a regular part of my routine. I travel to destress from the daily stresses of life. I enjoy seeing this commentary in your fashion blog post. The dress is cute with a little flirtatious high low dress

Fabulous outfit, I always love a good plaid.

And I definitely have learned to listen to my body and take breaks and decompress and don’t feel bad about it at all, so stressful moments are minimal
