Floral Kimono + Ripped Denim

Happy Monday and happy May! Can you believe it’s May already?? I really can’t even believe it’s Monday! I need one more day, just one more! My weekend was pretty eventful, as it was my BFF’s birthday. So of course we did the whole dinner, going out, brunch, shopping, and just hanging out in general thing. My sisters, BFF, and bro-in-law have a tradition of going out to eat for our birthdays, so we kept that tradition up this past Saturday, and went to the Old Ebbitt Grill in downtown DC. As some of you may know, my sister Karen sometimes takes my blog pictures, so I figured this would be a great time to get some outfit pictures in! And it was a nice background switch up (the lighting could have been a little better but no complaints, ha).

Shout out to the weather fiiinnnally feeling like spring (with a mix of summer)! I’m one of those people who checks the weather for the day multiple times throughout the day, and also as far in advance as The Weather Channel app will tell me, so that I can plan my outfits accordingly. You can basically call me a weather expert at this point. 🙂 So since I saw in the forecast that the weather was about 75 degrees on Saturday,  and I was somewhat pressed for time, I decided to stick with an easy combo of a tank, kimono, ripped jeans, and heels. I’m always looking for a reason to wear my Steve Madden Fringly heels (originally posted here), so I figured I’d pull them on out for the occasion. I actually planned on wearing a  different purse, but didn’t have enough time to switch out my “everyday” work tote, and fortunately, my bag still went well with me outfit. Because you know, details matter.

Oh! I forgot to point out the reason why my hair is straight in this post! I needed a trim pretty badly, so I went ahead and made that trip. I love natural kinks and curls, but I always feel a little sassier when my hair is straight. Especially when the wind is blowing it just right! 😉

Does anyone love kimonos or ripped jeans as much as I do? Let me know below!

Love this look! I always wonder if the top needs to be a color thats in the kimono. I see as long as the colors complement each other it totally works! 🙂

I love this! I am always wearing a sleeveless top with a sweater of some sort, but I love this kimono look. Combined with the ripped jeans is amazing! Love it!

I stay in a ripped jean, they are my absolute favorite. I have different styles of them to. You can do so much with them and I adore that. I love the kimono look but I don’t own one and I don’t even know why. I’m going to add them to my fashion bucket list. lol

That shoe is sassy too. The way you feel about straight hair is how I feel about a fresh haircut.
