Happy Monday and happy June! I’m back…barely! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was good, but not quite long enough, as usual. I hung out with my aunt, and cousins that were in town celebrating their nephew’s/cousin’s high school graduation, which was a lot of fun. I happened to discuss my blog with my cousin’s girlfriend, who happens to do business logos, so stay tuned for “The Style Perk’s” new logo, which I will reveal when my new site is ready! Whoop! Sunday, I did my usual church thing, and didn’t get nearly half of the cleaning done that I was supposed to get done, but what can you do!
For this outfit, I tapped back into my inner Kim K. with this skirt. I had been wanting a skirt like this forever, preferably in black or cream. It was available in black, however, I chose this mint green option because it felt like spring. It’s kind of crazy that the weather has been feeling like summer for a while now, but we still have 20 days left until it’s official. I digress, back to the outfit. There was a matching, kind of boxy, short sleeve crop top that went along with this skirt, but they didn’t have my size, and I’m not sure if I really liked it anyway. I went with a fitted, black, crop top instead because it looked good, and I didn’t have too much time to figure anything else out. I finished the look off with accessories, and my nude Zara sandals that I got a few years ago that I just had to have, and then ended up wearing only one time, lol. I’d say this is a brunch/day party/date night look.

Thanks Nancy!
I love this look, Kasi. Your are right, that mint green color screams SPRING and it is so cute on you. I have been wanting a crochet lace type skirt like this for a while but wonder if it will flatter my larger hips. Guess I will have to go on a shopping trip and try a couple on.
Thanks Apryl! Yes, try on some, I’m sure you’ll find one that you like! I would stick with black to flatter your hips, or if you go for a color, wear a longer/flowy top and belt it to show off your waist. 🙂
I’m loving this combo! I’ve done mint green for a top but never thought for a skirt. Werk it girl.
Thanks Nicole!
Very cute outfit. Love the way you paired it with the colorful purse and nude sandals.
Thanks Siobhan!
